Here is My Heart

Dear Lord, are You there, listening to my little prayer?
I don't know exactly what to say
I've been told that You love me, hear me when I call would help me when
If I fall, I should let You have Your way

What I guess I'm trying to say, is I need You in my life
'Cause I know I'm tired of living in the past
I would like to take a chance on a change down deep inside
I believe that this is one that's gonna last, so, here is

Here's my heart, it's been broken, it's been wounded
But I'll give it all to You if You would love me, love me
Here's my life, if You want it, You can have it
I will give it all to You because You love me
Your love is everything I need

Dear child, I'm right here, through your worries, through your fears
I've been waiting, for you to call my name
Oh, you know, that I hear you, if you turn to me and trust, my word is true
You will never be the same

Well, I'm standing here to say, that you need me in your life
'Cause I know that you can't make it on your own, on your own
If you would take a chance, let me change you deep inside
I promise you will never be alone, so, here is

Here's my heart, it's been broken, it's been wounded
But I'll give it all to You if You would love me, love me
Here's my life, if You want it, You can have it
I will give it all to You because You love me
Your love is everything I need

You can turn to me and know that I am always standing by
I gave it all for you, so you could have this gentle peace inside
I will follow you 'cause I believe in everything You are
I am your Father, You are my Saviour and in the matters of the heart
I am taking Yours and You are taking mine

Here's my heart, it's been broken, it's been wounded
But I'll give it all to You if You would love me, love me
Here's my life, if You want it, You can have it
I will give it all to You because You love me
Your love is everything I need

Here's my heart, it's been broken, it's been wounded
But I'll give it all to You if You would love me, love me
Here's my life, if You want it, You can have it
I will give it all to You because You love me
Your love is everything I need

Back to my Maker

Back to my Maker

Where does the heart go that has given up hope ?
Where does the heart go that has been broken ?
Where does the heart go that feels numb to the things of this world? that has lost all feeling ? all conviction ?
The heart that feels like it has been forgotten... abandoned...abused...
Where does it go ?
....it goes back to it's Maker
the One who can give it a future
the One who can restore
the One who can revive it, give it a purpose and the willingness once again to live... to  impact this fallen world.
The heart that feels like it's been forgotten hasn't really been forgotten at all.
You see it has never been more in the midst of God's watch.
The heart that feels like it has been abandoned never rested more securely in the very hands of God!
The heart that feels like it has been abused over and over again has a Comforter. His name- Jesus.
He waits patiently for that moment when that heart will return so that He can COMFORT it.
For that moment where He can tenderly hold it while whispering softly, "I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope".       (Jer. 29:11)
That is where the heart goes.
Today my heart will run to Him.
Wounded, battered, bruised but with great expectancy I will run to Him as He runs towards me.
With all the strength left in me, I will run.
With nowhere else to turn and nowhere else to go...
I will run....
straight...
back to...
my MAKER.

Welcome to the Garden of Faith! A place where testimonies and scriptures are welcomed and shared to encourage believers to grow in their faith of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The name inspired by a friend of mine who once used an analogy to explain how faith grows.  A person's growth in faith can be related to God and a garden where seeds are sown, watered, cultivated and plants are grown. "Plant your faith in Christ in just the same way you may plant in a garden!" my friend told me. I realized that when we plant our Faith in Christ, only then can we begin to grow. Why? Because we are saying to the Lord that, "I trust you! We are saying, "Have your way in my life, Lord Jesus". FAITH! Is needed to pursue that meaningful relationship you desire to have with God. God will certainly sow, water and cultivate our faith if we allow Him to. Even now I'm reminded of Hebrews 11:6 which says, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarded of them that diligently seek Him".

As I begin this blog. I encourage you to consider your own journey in life and the path that you are on now. Some of you may be starting out in your relationship with Christ. Others may be mid way on this path to discovering who God is. And then there are those who have walked this path for along while. One thing is sure, no matter where we find ourselves on this journey we all need to replenish and strengthen our faith in Christ, to experience the fullness of who He is.

And so as we venture out into 2014, lets not lose sight of our personal journey and calling, as well as the level of faith God calls us to have to  fervently and diligently pursue it. In moments of discouragement, hurt or complacency consider yet again the brevity of life on earth. Remember our time is limited. Death does not discriminate... we all have an an appointed time to die. We are living on borrowed time my friends. The hour glass is turned down.
Our life WILL soon come to an end.

So pursue God. Pursue His holiness. Get out there and begin to proclaim the gospel message of salvation to all whom may hear at your work, universities, on the street corners...everywhere! Write your worship songs this year. Share your testimonies! Those encouraging words hidden in between the pages of your journal...share them! Take the gospel to your professors, your bosses, your fellow colleagues or classmates. Be bold! Take a walk through the Garden of Faith! All things are possible with God! What have you got to lose?
